hi
can someone just explain the diffference between bridgeport and ported?
i\'m sort of a newb, so all the help is much aprechiated!!!
Use the search button dude has been covered numerous times with pics on this forum.
Streetport is for the street, so bridgeport must be for driving over bridges (my favourite is the dartford crossing).
How about this for a bridge??

Streetport is an increase in the intake and exhaust ports on the plate/housings, this removed some material for a much better flow.
Bridgeporting is where A LOT of material is removed, moves the powerband much higher and allows a lot more air into the engine. It is called a bridgeport as there is a \'bridge\' that is left and not removed to support the corner seals are they come round

Port is the perfect way to finish off a civilised evening. Or to start a not so civilised evening...
Thought port was fortified wine :3Confused?
Good to see Mitch has stepped up to the plate as the only sensible adult amongst us :rollin
I just want the Newbie to use the search Button
I thought Porting was making a structure to fit boats in lol
Or the lefthand side of a ship?
Dont forget you need to pass it to the left...and dont let it touch the table until the last person has had some!
oh jon, you really need to learn etiquette! it is not to LEAVE the table until it has gone round. and it is terribly bad form to not fill the glass up to the meniscus!
Port is also where sailors go so they can get arrested for drunk and disorderly...
...and to carry your rifle diagonally across your torso.
Right, think that\'s as full and comprehensive a reply to a request for clarification of the word "port" as you\'ll ever see. Covering civil engineering, ship nomenclature, comportment, etiquette, geopgraphy and just general random nonsense. What other forum provides such peerless service, eh!? :rollin
.....oh, and even something about rotary engines buried in deep :D
