Title: bushings kit for Gen 1
Post by: PETEKOAD on September 14, 2009, 10:00:10 PM
can I get poly bushings kits in the UK for a Gen 1. All my original rubber ones are shot and I would like to overhaul them all - any advice?

there is some info on e x i l e about these. I\'ll just copy and paste my post below:

"So, I\'ve gone through the superflex stuff, and to get all the bushes for the car would cost £290...

... Then I saw on their website that they come from an Aussie Super Pro kinda background, so had a look at their site. The part numbers are even the same. And then I looked for their UK distributer. And so I called him and asked for a quote for teh same part numbers. £195 inc vat - but because I\'m getting a large number, they will cover the VAT and carriage is free!! £166 for the complete kit!!

//www.superpropoly.com
Number is 01823 690 281 for the bits - guy is very helpful, and called back with a quote within the hour.

Cheers

OJ"

that was a couple of years ago, but they should still be operating...!!  Good luck.

Hi Pete.
You might have seen I keep a register of all 1st Gens I can find. Haven\'t got your car that I know of: (though I might have it from a previous owner).
Would you let me have the Reg, Colour and approx location please?  If you want it to stay off the net would you like to email me?

David,  it was intended as a joke, so apologies if it came across badly. I think it\'s cool that you\'re chasing these down, and terrific that people are finding it useful...  no offense was intend, and gutted it came across that way - sorry!

I am going to get you a T-Shirt with the legend "WHERE\'S YOUR FIRST GEN??  TELL ME DAMMIT!  TELL ME NOW!!!"  (pleeeeeeeeeeease take that the right way...;))

Thanks Pete that\'s great. Hadn\'t got your car....that\'s only 2 D Reg\'s as runners so far as I know. There is another in N. Ireland but it was for sale as a spares car a bit back.
