Title: brake discs
Post by: Jovic82 on September 13, 2009, 05:25:52 PM
Got standard brake discs on her all round at the moment - now they dont see, to be particularly worn, isnt even barely a lip on the edge but they have a quite a bit of rust around the edges.

I am going to change my pads all round - shall i change all the discs at the same time? or can you just get them skimmed ever so slightly or just bung in the new pads! and dont worry about it!

Cheers
Nick

i\'ve always heard that its best to renew all. Pads and discs wear together so skimming only sorts out the problem temporarily.

I got new discs and pads all round for £400 quid or so from various vendors on here. Just waiting to get into my mates workshop to get them on!

yeah its just ive heard a lot of people say that the discs do not make a huge amount of difference for fast road use, its mainly down to getting a decent set of pads in there? any truth to this?
