Title: HKS Twinspark with FC coils?
Post by: m1tch on September 02, 2009, 05:32:05 PM
Just wondering on this one, I will be running WI at some point and apparently I don\'t really need to get a HKS twinspark due to the fact that the FC coils give a really good spark and are usually used for upgrades on the FD or EGI, just wondering if I should get a twinpower or is the twinpower aimed at FD owners with the less powerful coils?

Well I have seen many a FC with HKS twin power unit fitted, sometimes because the tuner has suggested one due to poor spark along the tune that could have been detrimental. It can never do any harm to have one if they come up cheap enough.
I am not too sure if the FD coils/ignitors are less powerful or not, be strange for Mazda to take a backwards step if they are.

They went backwards with the RX8 with its faulty coilpacks, missing oil injector and lack of turbo lol
