Title: A few questions about discs & pads for the FD
Post by: dturpin on April 27, 2004, 05:04:21 PM
I have got a 1992 FD and I have got to put new discs and pads on.
I have had the following prices for some EBC standard - vented dics.  Front - £115.20 a pair and Rear - £180.58 a pair is this quite a good price?
Is there a difference in the dics/pads for a japanese import and a english sold car?
Is it a hard job to chenge the dics & pads, or is it worth getting a garage to do it?

If anyone could be of any help I would appreciate it?

Hiya,

Never mind the price, Please do NOT put anything branded EBC anywhere near your car,

l have seen on quite a few FD\'s,  EBC discs blue from the heat that they are unable to cope with and even worse cracked !!.

Stock Discs are fine or look at stock sized Mintex or Brembos as a replacement, and Hawk or Black diamond for pads.

Hope this helps
