Can someone please measure their jdm / import numberplate for me pls.
i know theres two different sizes of import plates.
i\'m after the size for fc rear.

i think legally they should be the same size as a bike number plate? i may be talking rubbish though

14A.[/B]—(1) This regulation applies in relation to any vehicle imported into the United
Kingdom which—
(a) does not have European Community Whole Vehicle Type Approval; and
(b) is so constructed that the area available for the fixing of the registration plate
precludes the display on the plate of a registration mark in conformity with the
requirements of regulation 14.
(2) In relation to a vehicle to which this regulation applies—
(a) each character in the registration mark must be 64 millimetres high;
(b) the width of each character of the mark, other than the letter “I” and the figure
“1”, must be 44 millimetres;
(c) the width of every part of the stroke forming a character in a mark must be 10
millimetres;
(d) the spacing between any two characters within a group must be 10 millimetres;
(e) the vertical spacing between groups of characters must be 5 millimetres;
(f) the width of a margin between the mark and the top and lateral sides of the
registration plate must be not less than 5 millimetres;
(g) the space between the bottom of the mark and the bottom of the registration
plate must be not less than 13 millimetres; but, within that space, the space
between the bottom of the mark and the top of the name and postcode of the

Liam, its not on the front lol its where the passenger sunvisor should be :rollin
its still the front.. ok.. maybe middle of the car then lol
and the visor is still there.
will relocate the plate somewhere as will fit a sun strip on there.
though not sure if should get small plate again n stick on exterior of car somewhere or normal size one and put on dash:xconfused:2Confused:confused:

Yep in inches matey.
Mine had another setback as the the turbo was knackered (another waste of £600) so had to buy a different one as the bill to repair mine was nearly a grand :(
Wideband is fitted and hoping to get it starting off the key this week. then MOT time!!!
bet its gonna fly once all done!!!

Thats good sizes for the plate, think I squeezed a 13" x 7" but that is max for the height. You can go smaller obviously in any direction it just depends what you can get from certain companies as some dont do 13" but 12" etc etc.
