Title: Water, air and oil temp question\'s
Post by: Jeffers_21 on August 16, 2009, 11:18:39 AM
Ive just got my car back from a fresh rebuild and had some other goodies installed at the same time, (Work was done by re:worx and they have done an awsome job)

Anyway i have a re:worx V-mount fitted and a apexi pfc an was wondering what water and air temps i should be seeing on it? i also fitted a oil temp and oil presure guage and was wondering what i should be seeing on them? The oil presure is in psi btw.

this is all on stock twins with a street port. Im still running in at the moment as i litrely got it back yesterday so no heavy driving yet just pottering around.

V-mount- my friend Ash has the one from Reworx...gets between 20-40 intakes....20 on a run down the motorway, 40 in slow moving traffic

Oil should be 75-90

Cheers for that, at the mo im getting about 27 just poodling around and about 38 in traffic. as for the oil im getting around 75 and seams to be pretty constant at the mo with it going up a lil in trafic, so it all looks good at the mo.

Oil temps- you probably have twin oil coolers..which keeps it lower...I only have one, hence higher temps :(

all depends on various things, ambient temp, style of driving, speed etc

well at the moment im only reving to about 3000 with no boost. After its been sat for a while the air temps to get quite high and take a while to come back down, im thinking i could do with some ducting to get some fresh air to the filters.
