Hi everyone, just need to ask about this, I have an FC and I know that the clutches are different in both cars between the FC and FD, but as the engines are the same, are the flywheels the same?
yes, i have an FD flywheel in my TII eangine and gearbox as its lighter than the FC one.
Sorry, that should say, No, they are not the same, the FD is a bit lighter but are interchangeable as the rotors are the same weight in FD and FC\'s so the counter weight cast into the f/w is also the same.
HTH
Are they same for EGi\'s?
So if I bought an aftermarket FD flywheel and counterweight it would be ok? its simply because its cheaper to get an FD flywheel than an FC lol I will be getting one when my stock clutch explodes and I just have to put in my 6 puck clutch - the OEM flywheel might be lipped like Profs
i got good stock clutch (james said it was goood) if u interested, save ur 6puck clutch for when u go big tub :p
Mines not a daily drive :) so I might go lightweight at some point, will see what happens when it runs 13s down the strip in a few months time :)
yes, fd one will be fine, EGI\'s are different, they use different rotors so the counter weight is different, also clutch is smaller in an egi.
So do I need to get an FD counter weight as well? or just a lightened flywheel?

i might not know much about flies on wheels but i can read :p
(hope i\'ve not read any of this wrong.. might be a little bit embarrassing :rollin)
