Hi Guys

Had my rex for just over a month, what can i say it\'s awesome!

Gave her a full respray a few weeks ago, was well worth it. I replaced the cracked number plate since the pictures were taken!
A couple of things are needing sorted - interior could do with a tidy up and the odometer/trip display has stopped working (i think this is quite common?) but good thing is it has had engine rebuild which puts my mind at ease - slightly!
Mods wise its running: Got a set of c-west skirts to put on, will be done the next month depending on funds. I reckon i\'ll need brakes quite soon as well, not sure what to go for yet though.
Cheers.

Welcome to MRC :Thumbs-up. Nice looking car, glad to hear you\'re feeling the love for it! (best colour too!) I guess it still has the cat or that "Silent" Hi-Power would sound like a whole fleet of Batmobiles lol :rollin

Cheers, guys! Yeah i like the red, looks brand new the pics dont really do it justice to be honest. It was faded to hell in bits when i got it and the front bumper was chipped a fair bit, chuffed to bits with it now!

It had a fibreglass bonnet on it before, when it was getting prepped in the body shop it was discovered it was pretty knackered, bubbled due to the heat i guess. Ended up picking up a used oem bonnet and got the vents cut in it when it was in getting sprayed. :)

It\'s not got a cat on it, sounds great! Although it must drive my neighbours mental when i let it tick over in the mornings!!

Vents do look very nice! How much you pay for your respray if you don\'t mind me asking?

I got it done for £1800, which i got a bit of discount on as it was my a mates bodyshop :cool That included cutting the bonnet as well. Some guys i\'ve spoke to reckon i could have got it done cheaper but to be honest i didnt want to end up with a dodgy respray for the sake of saving a few quid. Well worth it IMO!

I think £1800 is quite good. My car is covered in small stone chips now and could do with a new paint job in the not to distant future.
Title: Respray

Yeah, it looks really nice.  Also think it\'s the best color.  The price seems very reasonable for a respray.  I had mine completely disassembled engine compartment done as well.  Cost about $6000.00 US.  No orange peel looks terrific.  This also included having the emblems airbrushed on.

There\'s no such thing as a good, cheap respray. £1800 is a good price for a good job :)

Is that a FEED front bumper you have there too?

Looks nice mate, any engine bay and interior pics?

Yeah i reckon its a FEED front bumper (type 1 i think?), although i can\'t be 100% sure. The front lip of the bumper of it was chipped to hell when i got it, cause its quite low - that all got filled when it got sprayed though. I\'ll get some more pics up later!

Some more images here:

Some interior pics, i need to get the drivers seat repaired. They are not real leather, i really like em though - should look great when sorted.

There\'s a turbo boost gauge in above the glove compartment - it would be  a lot more useful to have this on the drivers side though! The passenger door handle is broken, i\'ve heard this is quite common.

Last but not least...

I put the hks radiator cap on a few days ago, as the old one was spraying out coolant when it i had it on a rolling road to get the apexi unit mapped, so the engine bay could look a bit cleaner.
