Hey guys, im just having a research about WI locations for the best cooling of the intake charge. I will be changing to V mount so I will have some longer pipes for a good run of air into the manifold :)
I am just wondering where I should mount the nozzle(s) and what size they should be as well, I have a devilsown kit, but it doesn\'t have nozzles, so I need to get them at some point.
I was thinking that I could mount the nozzle before the Intercooler so that the intake charge is cooled with water/meth and then cooled further via the intercooler, which will probably be running an exterior sprayer and Cryogenics.
Where has everyone mounted their kit? I have read somewhere you can mount it before the turbo lol I don\'t need to steam clean that :Giggle

jet sizes depend on what boost and dont matter too much to be honest. Use 50/50 water meth for best results.
6 Inches from throttle body, and if you use meth make sure you map for it as it can run lean top end if you dont.
I run the Devilsown kit along with a few others from here and the kit is really good.
+1 for after intercooler.
There is a possibility of the intercooler causing the injected water to condense or at least the droplet size to increase - which is not what you want - due to the cooling effect of the intercooler.
The further away from the throttle you can get it - the more time it has to atomize in the air stream.

why would it run lean with meth mate?
still yet to find out dude. Took the plugs out and the turbo off and you could tell it was running lean even though it was running low 10\'s on the wideband on WOT. Checked with Stu and it looks like the meth was causing this as the map was perfect for all driving ranges and on WOT low and high boost.
Checked with Jay quickly and I think he was under the same impression. I think it was cooling it to quickly and therefore not enough fuel was getting in. Looks like i caught it just in time :)
When it was mapped i think it was only added as cooling aid at high boost as it wasnt mapped for it.
Therefore im just running water now and no meth.
Methanol is a fuel, therefore it will run richer, it cannot be leaner.
what colour were your plugs ash? can you post a pic

definately shouldnt put it before the intercooler. i would have though it will knock the water/meth out of suspension.
