Title: Some new pics of my car.
Post by: chrno on August 09, 2009, 11:55:32 PM
Have been really busy with work for the past year so have not had any chance to drive my car. Nor put on all the bits and pieces I have just waiting to be fitted. a few days ago I took my new lens out and got some pictures of my car and this made me wanting to start sorting it out again.
Tomorrow I am of to a track day to shoot some Rx8\'s and hopefully some nice pics of my car the right environment.

Hope you like the pictures!
/Daniel

Thanks so much guys!

dthebuk: If you rightclick on the file and use the copy link location command you should get to where the original files are. They are downsized but much bigger than on here.

Very easy to do, is usally a couple of hinged brackets and a spring so as you go along the air pushes the plate up and out of the way :D

As Ada7 says, except I didn\'t have to fabricate one. :)
Make sure you put the holder under the front not "in front of it"

Thanks for all the great replies.

SleepyDude:
But I need new discs, wich is on order. I have new Spirit-R calipers in my garage just waiting. I have new pads, endless racing braided hoses, Feed intank fuel collector, R-Magic suspension arms for the rear. And Revolution is just sending me their alignment settings for Fast road/track on S-tires. ;) There is nothing wrong with my car at all, and it was confirmed yesterday at the track. But these are small improvements that will not give me massive power (That im not interested in) Just more feedback from the car.

They seem like good mods, seen tooo many people totally change the look of there car and on yours that would be a crime.

Think you should send me them spirt r calipers though ;-)

Lovely car, I guess going over to Japan gives you lots of insight into what to get. Glad to see your still adding to the FD, you went quiet for a bit on here! :)

Initial-D: I have been so busy with taking over a company and all that comes with that. Have driven my car maybe 10 times in 2 years but since this summers trip to Japan I got back some energy. Only trouble is the exhangerate.. The Swedish Krona is probably the worst currency in Europe the civilized world right now.

Rotorheadsam: Thank you very much! can\'t think of a better praise!

I ordered some new discs for my Spirit-R calipers and am fitting Endless braided racing hoses, calipers and the Project Mu SCR-Pro 2piece floating discs as soon as they arrive. Will be sporting a set of Endless CC-R pads all around and after that I think I will go Performance Friction. I also have a set of rear Pillowball toe control links and Pillowball rear lateral rods from R-Magic waiting to get fitted as soon as I get my alignment settings. Have also planned to fit a new final gear which is going to make wonders. Next step is fabricating some carbon fibre shielding/ducting for IC,Brakes,Airfilters and maybe something else I forgot. Got around to fit some heat shielding to the power steering and throttle wire. That project will continue to most things around the twin turbo setup. Also thinking of some more Revolution goodies for the handling, and also doing a neat thing with the intstrumentation.

Adam

Or....

Two zip ties, and two holes in the bumper works just as well!

Found this out by accident after having to put it SOMEWHERE to pass MOT, "in the window" doeesn\'t count apparently.

Anyhoo, got flashed by a forward-facing camera but never heard anything of it - I assume it had film as my mate got done by it two weeks later!!

MODS - not advocating this as a way to get out of speeding fines, it was a genuine accident that it happened to have swung up and got caught! ;)

set your camber, toe and caster improved my handling and also drop the car hks hypermax did wonders till they cross threaded.:Hammer. i know mad mike rx7 setup is briliant and its a drift car but it does have good handling untill you lift the hand brake. i also kno9w the perfect man do set it all up.

the other way to avoid camera is to drift pass that if you handle it

Carpet?

I use original fuel rail with original injectors. Estimate a few hp over 300 but I really don\'t care about that. More interested in handling/response and the few bits I have planned will do just that I believe.

Thanks for asking, sounds like a blast! I could very well be interested but it all comes down to when It takes place. I am almost never at home so dates are crucial.

Let me know when you have things set up.
