Welcome to the club. Annoying as it is to have to get the engine rebuilt so soon and the cost of it just think how good it\'ll be once its done knowing you\'ll have thousands of trouble free miles to enjoy... hopefully :D

Thanks a lot guys,
i am really looking forward to getting her back, then the 1000 miles of run in, then she will be going back to hayward\'s while i go to cuba to get married......
what a present to come back to though.
She\'s got a few bits done to her which i will update on properly later,
funny thing is my dad bought me a present for her a blitz induction kit, its very nice but really i wanted to get an apexi, any ideas how much the blitz will sell for or can apexi filters just be attached to the housings.
Also how do i go about getting proper membership on here, i was a full member on the mr2 forum but obviously want to get full membership on here, what are the benefits of membership.
sorry if its a stupid question but i did a search and theres no link
Finally is there a local group that have regular meets?
thanks
Mark
Mine only lasted a few hours. I cant understand it test drove it and it was fine. Brought it back from manchester on a trailer then bang !!!!
Anyway welcome to the club
Wotcher, and welcome in! Sorry it\'s pooed itself already, hopefully Carl can sort it quick and (relatively!) cheap.
Blitz filters are clamp on IIRC and Apexi are bolt-on, so the Apexi filters wouldnt fit on the Blitz unions, unfortunately. Nuthin\' wrong with Blitz, though, make a nice loud noise and at least they don\'t clog up with grime like the Apexis eventually wil
You can get full membership from the MRC shop link at the top of the page but you may need to register yourself there first
no i know theres a lot of people using the blitz just not a fan myself as the car is my daily driver and i just think the apexi are probably the best filtration, was also thinking the option of a k&N replacement element or even clamp on k&N on the blitz housings.....
supose a lot of pie in the sky at the mo until she is back up and running, she will be dialled in on the apexi FC by carl so will make mind up then....
Apexi are generally rumoured to be about the best set-up, but I think we\'re talking small degrees of infinity. K&N ones should clamp onto the Blitz union structures OK, though, the K&N official setup was almost identical to Blitz, only obviously witth their own brand filters instead of stainless mesh ones
wicked thanks for the reply, i didnt realize k&N did a kit i thought it was just standard element they used
