So cool! How wide are those wheels on the front?! It\'s kept the dish like the rears which looks wicked!
Vinyl wrap FTW

No you can cover your car in any colour you want.
Black, red, blue, green, orange, even pink if it floats your boat!
:D
The satin finish looks awesome :yes, well\'ard.....still hate those wheels tho :o

Yup mate of mine had a Camoflage wrap on a Pug GT180... His was guaranteed for 7 years :D does look good if done properly and yours looks amazing mate :)
Did you drive though lutterworth the other day, my misses was saying she saw one with green wheels,
actually i really like that, how much did it cost, you going to any shows or just back down that aera any time soon?
Can you give us some more details on this, price, qualities of doing it (apart from it looks great) where you had it done.
Looks really subtle. maybe you should get some light tinting (legal) to the side windows and heavy tint to the rear.....probably wouldn\'t look so subtle then though, although it may look gerat
cant tint your front /side windows mate thats illegal now only rears or tail gate
that is rather nice!
where did you get that done from? be interested in rough price. alternative to painting?

Have a look at the FAQ\'s on our site.

Still working on the site but you will get answers to your question.
From the photo it Looks like you were at USC over last weekend.
this looks stunning, wrapfx, do you have a figure for carrying this out?
Paul
Hi Paul
Full wrap costs vary depending on material quantity and the complexity of the shape etc.
I\'d ball-park an FD between £650 & £850
I\'ll post up a couple of pics later.
We use American software and there are some nice wrap examples their site, so if you\'re looking for inspiration

And go to gallery

Unfortunately my bank would tell you otherwise haha!
Cheers for the comments guys, wrapfx have given a good estimation of the costs.
I\'ll get some close ups of the work and post \'em up, lots of little detail bits left to do yet!
Now that gives me an idea, already considered doing it for my fc (based on the fact that i have my own vinyl graphics busy anyway) but to do a vinyl wrap with single colour like that depending on material costs (which I will check tonight) will cost nowehere near £650-£850 in my opinion
does look rather good mate, my old FD was satin black but had the paint job done :Thumbs-up

I think you will need to check material costs - what are you paying for regular vinyl?
£3 to £7 a mtr.
You\'ll find the
proper wrap vinyl [We use Avery super wrap] comes in at £23 a mtr. plain colour - you will also have to buy a 25 or 30 mtr log.
I\'ve been in the sign industry for over 40 years and know for a fact you\'ll struggle to get a Smart Car wrapped for £800.
Have you wrapped a car, do you know how long it takes?
Back to that nice looking wrap on the FD, I\'d be interested to know what the original colour was and did you have the inside door posts done. Costs more but it you go to black from a white car it can look a bit iffy when you open the door.
John
Markricconi.
Can\'t see on the pic but as the material is 1370mm I\'m guessing there must be a join somewhere as the rear wing goes seamlessly up the rear pillar and onto the roof and down the other side. This looks a bigger area than you could cover in one piece.
John
dan verge (dandan) did it himself on his old fd, then on his 200sx, theres probably a thread somewhere. Looked great! He also does signwriting etc for a job tho!

Cheers for the comments!
It was originally PZ black, hasn\'t had the door inserts done yet due to time (i was rushing it as a rival magazine was doing the satin black 350Z haha!) and also i\'ll no doubt change my mind in a few months :) But i\'m lucky that it\'s gone from black... to black.
There\'s a join just leve with the bottom of the driver window on the rear 3/4, it\'s noticeable up close but to be honest with the satin black wrap you can\'t see it in snaps and just looking over the car, nothing a sticker wont hide :)
looks spot on!
u work for max power?
i know people in fastcar and redline lol...
any chance you can upload some more pic\'s, would like to see some of the joins if possible,
I really like this, especially as a matt black all-over version! :D
So how well does this last? Really up to 7 years? It can cope with the heat etc (i.e. doesn\'t peel etc) and removes without leaving any problems for the paint when the time comes to remove it? Quite fascinated now! LOL!
Is this a step up from the layers which are put on prestige cars to protect from stone chips etc on their front ends?
:)
Correct, put on eoperly the vinyl wil out last its year grading!! there are vans knocking around that my sis did 12 years ago & they stil look respectable, so it would be more than feasable for the wrap to last 10 years! The other thing is it protects the paint work from stone chips & UV light, so the paint will not fade eather! once removed you may have a little glue residue to remove but that would be the worst that should happen!!
Jono
Can you get this so it looks like paint? I love the colour of my paint but having major issues with constant paint chips.
From what I read it seems this method is quick, safe, cheap and can be removed with reasonable ease if required?
Having worked with wrap vinyl I think you will see the difference between a spray job & a wrap finish. For depth of shine paint would win.
There is a limited colour range - there may presently be 50 colours although I\'m sure this will increase as the popularity of wrapping grows.
Couple of other points.
Wrapping isn\'t a respray, it\'s a cheaper alternative and cannot be compared like for like.
You will still get stone chips, the vinyl probably more.
The material is pretty thin at 80mic so any imperfections like previous stone chips will still show unless they are filled etc first.
