Hi folks,
I have been lurking and reading on this board now for a LONG time....
I had a 2.5Ltr Twin Turbo Lexus Soarer Coupe for a year or so but my job changed and I ended up on a low wage and lots of round town driving... so, petrol costs rocketed and my income dropped so I had to sell.
I bought a Suzuki Cappuccino to keep me going (awsome little car - i love it, especially with the roof off).
Anyway, now I am back in a good employment situation and can afford to run a RX. I want a 3rd gen btw.
The problem I have is massively bad credit ratings and a lack of funds with which to buy... Cant get a bank loan etc etc.
So, the question is, can anyone recommend or know of, a car company that supplies 3rd gens that part ex AND provide finance to stoopid fools like me who decided paying bills was for idiots. (I dont do that now !!)
Any help apreciated!
Cheers,
Edd
Hi Edd, and welcome to the world of Rotary\'s. Looked at a Soarer myself before choosing an RX7, very quick car with lot\'s of luxuries. I think the look\'s of the RX won me over and hav\'nt looked back since. Anyway regards the finance have you tried your Bank if your account is in good health they can often help out, went through a similar phase myself a fair few years back, also lost my job last year and am on less wage\'s now but building myself back up. Went too my bank and they helped me sort my finances with free good advice. If you buy through finance companies that specialise in arrears CCJ\'s etc, you often have too pay higher APR\'s up in the 30\'s sometimes. Try your bank first you maybe suprised at what they can do. Best of luck mate cheers Leigh.
Thanks for the advice fella - only problem is I have only had my bank account for 3 months hehe - thats how bad my credit rating was. I dont even have a switch card lol.
Banks out of the question right now :(
Thanks tho :)
You may have already, but get your credit rating reviews. There may be some stuff on there you can get rid of... I was being turned down for stuff a few years ago, and when I looked into it I was being linked to a member of my family who\'d had issues. Once that was sorted, life was much easier...
Just a quick update.
I have sourced my own finance (sorta.. ) allowing me £5k of finance PLUS my trade in (aprox£3k) so £8k ish in total.
I now need to find a dealer that will take the credit from the credit firm and possibly trade in my car. I could private sell but for the fact I need a car daily and trade in would be so much easier.
Any companies out there?
Oh, almost forgot - this credit firm wont let me get a car over 9 years old using this credit.. restrictions, restriction!
Chers
Edd
Only thing is (and I don;t want to put a dampner on anything), but what happens if you\'re unlucky and the engine goes pop ?
Having said that, might be worth you looking at some where like Jimmy\'s where you get an older car, but one that has had a new engine rebuild and might be guaranteed for a year (can\'t remember).
