Post by: M@r]{ on July 29, 2009, 08:30:49 PM
Hey Guys

I\'ve bought a 2nd hand HKS Twinpower and need some tips / help on connecting it up.  Below are some pics - can anyone tell me what needs to connect to what?  :)

Thanks

Black to ground, red splice into + on coil loom ie black/red,white splice into other wire going to leading coil ie middle one, yellow one each spliced into other wire to each trailing coil.Or buy a connecting harness, plugs straight in.

Thanks for the info Tim.  Sorry to sound like a plank but which bit is the harness?  And where does that then plug in to?  The harness seems to have x4 connectors??

Take the existing loom off your coils, which plugs into the car loom with the 4 pin plug, then fit the new one.

lol remind me not to ask you wire a plug, you probably try and find a left handed screwdriver lol

how can u not understand Tims instructions ?lol

Take off the plenum then you will see the the colour coded connectors on the coils, remove those connectors and on the end of the existing harness of those connectors is the 4 pin plug unplug that from the loom then remove the stock harness, now plug in the twin power harness using the new colour coded connectors to the coils and the 4 pin plug into the loom, then connect the earth wires spade connectors to an earthing point.....simples

if all fails.. just unplug each plug seperately and try if it fits.. if it fits then just leave it there then move onto the next plug hehe

If you want my Advice buy the proper loom, there about £20 and it would take 30 seconds to fit and saves any Confusion.

Hks Part number is 4399-sz001
