Title: CHEAP LPG (anyone)

i have just aquired my first lpg car. 15 quid to fill the tank 31 litres!!!!
 
GREAT...  BUT I HAVE BEEN INFORMED I CAN GET LPG AT 20P A LITRE INSTEAD OF 49P. DOES ANYONE HERE KNOW HOW OR WHERE???
 
I have heard you can buy an adapter and a gas bottle and get it really cheap. any pointers would be very errrrr.....:rollin pointy

I\'m sure I read you can decant off the gas supply but it taxed different as a road fuel than a heating fuel. There are some very good lpg forums that will give you some good info !

Cheapest I get is 43.9p /l and I think they offer a 3p/l discount if you buy a 100 quids worth on a discount card.

I have a CountryWide card.....dont know if there is an equivalent service with you, but the card allows you to turn up at any of their depots...unmanned...and fill up.  They then DD the money each month.  So much cheaper than pump LPG

Its a similar system in penwortham. Self service and all you do is stick you CC in.

Was 33.5p/l when I installed gas !

I\'d been investigating it but never actually got to a point I was happy with. Quite a long thread about it.

if there was an alternative fuel for fd\'s they would be everywhere :D

Its just the technology hasn\'t been done because of the small number of cars.

//www.petrolprices.co.uk also lists lpg stations plus there is a database on http://www.golpg.co.uk/ as well !
