Well,
I\'ve just spent a fair bit getting a new head unit and component speakers fitted (no sub) and I\'m busy running them in. First time I turn it up a bit, the passenger door card vibrates like crazy. It\'s not even that loud, just enough to start getting audible mid-bass from the 5" drivers in the front doors, but the buzzing noise is really getting on my nerves and makes it impossible to listen to any music at a decent volume.
Also slightly annoyed as the place I got to fit it didn\'t mention it when I picked the car up. I phoned them a few days ago to ask about it and was told by the bloke I spoke to "oh, the installer did mention that when it was fitted." I\'d rather have known at the time so I could talk to them about it!
They\'ve given me some advice, but I was wondering if anyone else has had this problem, and if so, how did you solve it? I\'ve not had chance to get inside the door card to have a look yet.
Thanks,
Chris.

It just so happens....

As you can see, there\'s not much in there to rattle around, to be fair. Must be the actual vibrations of the speaker. My rear ones make a right old clattering, but that\'s cos the speakers are fubar, wouldn\'t expect that to be the case with yours if they\'re new. Maybe the only answer is to line the door with DynaMat to damp out the vibration. Make it a bit heavy, but give you a better sound
it\'s probably the door card itself rattling off the frame - happens if its a) not secured properly, or b) some clips have snapped resulting in a).
As Nik says, Dynamat is awesome stuff, but give the panel a good bang to make sure all the clips have seated properly.
and check they have put all the screws in - including the one that goes behind the window-switch - that one is a real pig to get to, so they may have skipped it
There is a door bar that is glued to the inner door skin which can come unstuck and vibrate. Peel off the polythene and have a look.
Brilliant suggestions guys - keep em coming. Won\'t get time to fiddle with the car for a week or two, but now I\'ve got a good list of things to try when I do.
Cheers :Thumbsup!
Chris.
