That\'s Lum\'s old car, don\'t think you should have too many issues with that one. If you want to know more about it, search under his username and read back his posts about it. HTH

I admire your faith good sir!:2eek
Have fun with your new purchase anyways!
Welcome to rotary ownership dude! A lovely looking car you have there! Love the bonnet!
not sure if you\'ll have the same issue\'s with yours, but i\'ve got a bosche 044 pump in mine and it doesn\'t pick up the bottom 1/4 of the tank.
The guy who had it before me neglected to mention it when i picked it up, so i found out the hard way.
col
lol i have one in my R34 and it does exactly the same, arrival date now pushed back till friday
out of interest how big is a rx tank? how muchs is it to fill ?
Looking a £60-£70 to fill it right up,
60ltrs ish i think dude.
cool the 34 only takes £40 due to the pump :(
i know that car very well indeed
great car but im sure the current owner, not lum had a few problems with it??

any idea what the problems were?
i only knew it when Liam owned it, not seen it since he sold it to a guy in Ireland.
its the guy in Ireland i am buying it off, any info on the probs would be appreciated, although he has assured me everything is fine with it
the pump when fitted didnt pick up fuel from just over 1/4 tank and less, this causes lean areas and the engine to pop. there are various methods used to compensate for this such as swirl pots etc, easiest is just not to let the fuel get that low.
Stop scaring the poor chap!
The 1/4 tank is a common fault with the Bosch pumps not just this car... as has been mentioned just don\'t let the fuel get that low... it only goes lean when you are cornering hard not in a straight line but again just don\'t let it get that low.
I thought the Bosch 1/4 tank problem was just down to incorrect fitting ?
From what I have been told the Bosch pump stuggles to detect the fuel level when it is below a quarter tank on turning and thus can cause fuel starvation (I may well be wrong). You can get a sock or a swirl pot to counter this problem. I have a Bosch pump and never let it go below a quarter.
The BNR fuel pump doesn\'t have this problem with detection of fuel levels below a 1/4 tank.
fun a swirl pot mate. I run a 044 pump with swirl pot and never had fuel starvation on track with it. And that was with the fuel light on :)
Same as above, just boxed the badboy in.
first mod swirl pot then :D
problem was this... has now been fixed along with replacement of rhs engine mount
