hi guys, feel like a right idiot asking this but i got a set of superstreets today second hand and its my first set of coilovers ive ever had
I always assumed that you loosen the 2 collars and turn the top collar pushing the spring upwards and inturn raising the ride height.
With hindsight i realise that is wrong after messing with them as all that does is adjust the preload of the spring
I googled it a bit to try and work it out and it seems most suspension has 3 collars, 2 for preload of the spring and a third at the bottom of the thread for height adjustment but mine dont come with that so how do you adjust the ride height.
my thoughts were the nut that goes over where you adjust the damper and u tighten it to lower the suspension
am i close at all?
You should just need to undo the locking collar (the lower one of the two below the spring), then just grap hold of the spring and turn it - which direction depends on whether you\'re lowering or raising the car. When you\'re done tighten the locking collar back up.
IIrc the superstreets are not preload adjustable and can be noisy when set to low but yeah you got it just lower the collars thus lowering the ride height
Here is the instruction manual from teins website.

its not hard to find.

just did mine the other day. gently turn the top collar until it\'s where you want it then move the bottom collar up and tighten it.
the higher up the collars are the higher the ride height. i measured the gap between the bottom collar and the end of the threaded section to make sure they\'re all the same height, at the moment i\'ve got them set at about 3/4 of an inch which looks close to standard height.
