When did you change all the plugs and HT leads?

I haven\'t changed the leads or plugs yet. Just getting a feel for what potential fixes are. So far I have been suested the map sensor and also sparks as a possible problem.

Guna have a look tomorrow night strait after work.

Any other possible causes?

Worth investing in some new plugs, they don\'t tend to last very long.

Are you getting a misfire? with the map sensor vac tube off it will behave like a misfire, black smoke and runs like pooooo but its still driveable

Any sugestions for what plugs to buy? Preferably a brand i can buy localy or get posted quickly.

I don\'t think it\'s missfireing, it\'s just not quite smooth running. No smoke and no stalls, just a little shakey under the bonnet, and if you play with the throttle it back fires nicely :D

I think only NGK makes Rx7 plugs? I can\'t remember the Part no off the top of my head for the FD but there not hard to get hold of.

Sure is not something like a dodgy engine mount?
