Title: Help Running Rich - Power Fc!
Post by: DMDRIFTING on July 01, 2009, 01:17:25 PM
Hello,

if anybody can help that would be great!

My FD has just come back from a Rebuild (Street Port etc),
Power FC
Air Intake
After Market IC
HKS Slient Power full exhaust
Uprated fuel pump
HKS Twin Spark
850cc Primary Inj to be fitted
Boost Controller to be fitted

Im running it in and close to 400 miles so far, will do the next 100 tonight wahoo.

Its running a base map on the power fc

It is flooding itself every time I turn it off? I have taken 5% off the base fuel pressure @ 1000rpm, it seems better.

Anyway after returning home today from work 12pm (Seriously hot day) i stalled it :spank , started after a few turns with foot on the floor to clear fuel, I wanted to raise the revs to 4k before turning off to prevent it from flooding and as soon as it got above 3k it popped and banged like an angry gunship.

I would like to know if I can adjust the water correction temp \'80 degrees C\' to prevent this? and also could I take another 5% off the base fuel pressure at 1000rpm to help with the flooding?

:3Confused

What is your current base pressure on idle?

Just the man, have you got a contact number to ring you on? No drama if your busy I understand.

I\'ve gone into the \'normal\' setting on the Power FC, opening the

 8000rpm -100%
7000rpm - 100%
6000rpm - 100%
        " etc
and adjusted the
1000rpm - 100%   to  94.9% iirc

After studying the Apexi Power FC Work Shop Manual

Hey Blitzboy,

just gotta head out again now, if you can e-mail your number that would be great!

Could the ecu be in a limp mode?

Forgot to say it backs the revs off automatically above 3k

hi, not allowed to do private calls in the office im afraid.
The Apexi does not have a limp mode.

They way you would adjust base fuel pressue is the Fuel pressure regulator itself, do you have a guage on it? what does it read on idle?

Unfortunately i don\'t have a gauge on it at the moment!

Will give Tim a ring tomorrow, he said it has a break in the ignition higher up in the rev range but they couldn\'t source the fault??

I was just a bit confused on why its flooding all the time!

Title: Pin outs!
Post by: DMDRIFTING on July 02, 2009, 03:25:58 PM
Right....

car stalled on me again today halfway to work...

RAC couldn\'t sort it....

Tim pointed me in the direction of water temp...

No water temp reading on ecu, this explains the hunting/stalling etc

Has anybody got the FD ecu pin outs? Will route a new water temp wire as the original in the loom is fooked and not getting any voltage now :(

Much love

Marvelous..

Sourced the correct pin out  and attached new wire, checked coolant, all ok, checked sensor, all ok, turned key and started fine, sitting outside idling, the coolant buzzer has come on too???

Car began to idle rough again and pop, checked the sensor and had returned to ---- ???

Back to square one

Coolant buzzer sorted!

The water temp sensor has two wires attached to it, just to double check the second wire is the \'earth\' and should I attach a new earth to this?

still reading: ---- on water temp on the commander please help?
