What\'s the standard size for the front speakers in an FD? Looking at getting these:

but I want to make sure they should fit before splashing out.

Also where have others mounted your tweeters?

You will have to make an adapter to get them to fit. The depth is quite important too ! If you are good with filler the tweeters could live in the small plastic triangle in the door.

Yeah, I know about the depth as a previous owner put deep speakers in so the windows don\'t go all the way down! :eek:

Do you know what size the standard holes are? I\'ll probably just have to take the cards off and find out what has already been done.

I think they are 5.25in/13cm but its an awful long time since I swapped the speakers, probably about 4yrs !
