Hi guys, just been doing some logging an trouble shooting. I think i may have been mistaking leaking injectors for ignition breakup.
When the secondaries come online. my wideband is showing 9afrs in most of my onboost map. also in mu vacuum and higher revs map. i will get lower averages but still hitting 9s.
I know my readings shoudl be more consistant than this. the ranges are all over the place.
Does anyone have the time to take a quick look at my log session. just to confirm my new secondary injectors are not opening and closing consistantly?:guinness
you just need to lean out my man, try 5% first, so highlight the affected fuel correction cells hit the minus button eg if a cell shows 1.15 change to 1.10, on boost aim for 11:1 afr, vacuum (cruise) cells aim for 14:1
Blitz,
IU was thinking that. My fjo drivers make the injectors work alot more efficiently as well as your power curve (hence fuel) being more to the left of the map.
I will try this tonight (conservatively) and see how i goes
good luck, as you say make small changes to be safe
Im just worried as my mins and max afrs have huge ranges in some parts of the map which tells me that the injectors are not firing consistantly. (am i wrong)?
explain by mins and maxs have huge ranges?
14 afr to 9 min to max in cruise in boost 12 to 9. i could send you the log file to see what you think
yep I will have a look at it tonight mail me on mark_salem@hotmail.com
I am assuming some of cruise cells you are seeing 9s
Cheers lol even 80% vac cells get the 9s
I have leaned the map out slowly from left to right and my oh my we really are cooking with gas now. holy smokes its fast fast fast and very very loud. Mapping the car was the best 2 hours of my life. still got very conservative afrs 9s and 10s at the edges and 11s and 12s everywhere else. but its not breaking up all the way to redline.
hooray. i might come to rotor stock now.
with your map your fuel comes in so early. i had to take so much out, at the top of the revs/ boost only a little had to come out in comparison.
hooray for me. i feel like the worlds fastest indian
My map is being worked on on excel for a bit. im going to get it nice and smooth through all the ranges. then test afrs and then tweak some more. the map i you sent was dreadful when i cherted it in excel but at least i sussed what the problem was.

cheers mate :2Confused ,every motor is different and ancillaries, I sent you map to start off with, it was to be used as base to start off with.
I made it clear you would need to retune from the start.
The map I gave was intentional rich so you wont blow your car as soon as you go into boost.
I also made you aware the map was for a ported engine so it will be rich on your stock ported engine
You start off rich then you lean out when you tune.
I have given you help when no one has offered you any and answered all your questions you have posed on this forum, now all of a sudden you have an expert opinion on maps based on your years of tuning rotaries and say its dreadful, ok mate I wont bother in helping peeps anymore not worth the "compliments"

Sorry blitz,
I dont think when i write sometimes and i do have mild concussion. (mountain biking accident):Viking
I meant it looked bad after i leaned areas out to get it running to 7k. I have now smoothed out my initial dreadful attempt. The fuel map now looks like yours (which was smooth) but its leaner in the middle, and the peak fuel falls away a bit later. I may take a bit of fuel out again after ive tested the afrs. my problem now is boost control ( i dont seem to have any ) My profec isnt working
cheers mate
i meant the map i sent you, thats it yeah. i sent you a map via email? if you look at it on excel you will see what i mean. im not with it
no worries dude, what settings u have on the profec?
ive boosted with it off
with it on low, sharp and soft
tried all kinds of settings.
how should i have set the jumpers mate? im sure i have got em right
