i cannot find anyone to repair the unit. it was pretty expensive and i\'d rather not throw it away. i was told by RE-A that it is a tochigi fuji diff but i talked to tochigi and they said no it looks like a torsen. i am at WITS END here with this differential. if anyone has any insight. i have emailed re-a to see what they say. if nothing else check the brokendiff pix as they are pretty crazy :) jon

Looks like the guy just likes doing burnouts.

Cant think why it would go pop, just by doing burnouts.;)

It would have been launched with slicks I would say to do that damage???

I have seen Mazda\'s rip 9 inches apart, I also saw a RX323 (old 323) with a 13B mild port completely break an RX-4 diff. leaving the car on the start line and the diff. further behind.

This guy has done well :)

My dif had to be replaced when Rotec did engine, teeth had had started to break, They said they were strong and had never seen one go and that they use them in japan racing, as they were so strong.

You know what RE-Amemiya will say... the diff. centre itself was probably ok.

I.e. The crownwheel doesn\'t look too bad, but the pinion gear has been ripped out of course.

Therefore the weak point was the diff. housing, not the RE-Amemiya centre.

I think it was a large burnout that killed the diff , saw the pics on nopistons.com a few weeks ago !

it really tore it up !
