Anyway... I need a new engine. So what can I get done to it? and what would be the result. Anyone fancy creating a sticky table for the definitive list of add ons (in the most sensible order of course) with percentage increase in performance.
For instance;
1. Induction kit
2. Free flow exhaust
3. ECU
4. De cat
5. Intercooler
6. Increased Boost?
7. Porting (what is bridge porting anyway)
8. Injectors
9. Single turbo
10. Wideband O2
11. 3 rotors
12. Knob that goes to 11
I guess it\'s a little of how long\'s a peice of string but would this be the right order and what power would each of these give?
The order is a bit complicated as it depends on a number of other factors.
For example if you have a dead engine then porting while the rebuild is being done makes sense (as would dowelling if you\'re going for high boost). If the motor\'s good then something like ECU should be the first stop... then it\'s down to budget and what you\'re going to use if for.
A list of what\'s possible and dependancies would be good (e.g. upping boost needs ecu, fuelling and intercooler for example).

As Iain has said - there is no definitive list, order or power increase per mod.
Take No 10 on your list - if you are going to get your car mapped by a n other then there is absolutely no need to have a wideband, yet if you plan to do it yourself then it promotes itself up to the same point as an ECU.
I\'d always stick an ECU as being the number one mod, but beyond that whether you go for an exhaust, intercooler, water injection, etc next depends on your overall plans.
Bridge porting is porting gone mad ;) and only sensible for track use - think of it like cams on a boinger - porting is fast road spec (bit more bhp by sacrificing a little low rpm pull) where as bridge porting is full race cams.
Worth bearing in mind that fuel mods are more than just injectors, with an uprated pump and FPR being required as well, which means you spend quite a few pennies.
