Post by: johnm on June 19, 2009, 03:16:23 PM
Does any any know where I can buy a good car cover, suitable for outdoors.  May need to park car up for 10 weeks at a time, due to a new overseas job.

Thanks

John

We turned the garage in to a makshift workshop so we could rebuild the engine, that meant the rex had to stay outside for 3months. At first i brought a cover from Argos for £15, it lasted about 3weeks til it started dissintergrating, f***ing useless! Don`t buy from Argos. I then brought a cover from ultimatefinish.co.uk for £120, my rex was outside when we had the worst snow in 20 years or so, everyday i checked underneath to see if it was dry, and it was. Proper heavy duty, will take 2 people to get it on, but you have cords that hold it down, not that it needs it, it weighs a ton!

if i still worked at farm you could use the black Sheet which comes in rolls of a football field.. cut abit of that off and that would work a treat as it protects silo haylidge grass tanks all year while slowley been rolled back. Its not super thick either. Look into it maybe :P

Theres a guy on e-bay snowdogs is his name (may have got that wrong) but he sells really good covers I bought one about 6 months ago, the only thing you have to do is buy some of those quick clamps from B&Q to clamp the cover to each wheel. The cover was about £40 its got a waterproof outer and a fairly soft inside fleece type material incredible value for money

Just had a quick look and can\'t find the seller although there are a few covers mainly for the RX8 that might fit.
