Title: Should i wait for a PFC
Post by: turbotoaster on June 18, 2009, 01:39:36 AM
noticed the price is slowly coming down now on a power fc(according to nengun)

Since i dont actually need one right at this moment do you think its worth holding on and waiting to see whats happening on the yen exchange rate

they are currently £491 but not sure how much they will be to get one to my door, how long do they take to get from over there?

Thanks in advance

Mine took a month and a few days, which is bang on what they tell you. Of you register they\'ll show you the delivered price.

just registered with nengun, says its 524 delivered, would it arrive to my door then i get a letter from customs asking for the money or would they hold it there and want me to pay up first, whats the % on top you have to pay roughly?

I paid £380 from nengun, then got a letter off parcel farce to pay a further £20 for customs and tax crap. This was back in 2006 though.

Whether it gets through customs free or not is largely luck. I didn\'t get stung, probably because the invoice was in Japanese... If you do get hit it\'ll be 15% VAT, plus duty, plus your couriers fee.

If you do get hit they add import duty first, then 15% VAT on top of that total - so you effectively pay VAT on you import duty (yeah, that makes perfect sense, not!! :2Rolleyes). Then whatever their \'handling fee\' is on top. That makes me laugh as well - they\'re in the business of handling parcels, so what\'s that about!
