:Talking1:Talking1:Talking1 :Santa

Off to stick a deposit down tonight ! will be my fist Rex (and will do a compression test before i trailer it away)

Basicaly the guy imported it two years ago, paid all the duties but never registered it. So its been sat in his garage for two years !

It has 60k miles on the clock and has a cat back exhaust and air filter. Which while thats not bad, makes me wary of the engine condition.

Plan so far.

Checks

- Will do the \'champagne\' test (air bubbles in in the filler cap area)
- Check AST
- Check to see if lots of smoke prolonged after start up.
- check for rust etc etc general stuff.

- Have i missed anything?

Plans for when i get it home.

Take the engine out and refresh it. Either i\'ll do it or i\'ll pay for someone else do it depending on costs etc.

I\'m well excited ! :driving

check it starts 1st time when hot.
If it\'s still on sequential twins, check both turbos spool up (assuming you can test drive it).

Well its mine and its blooy mint.

Engine is spot on, no smoke, started perfectly, no rot. a couple of niggles. i think the relays that start the engine, (the funny retangle box next to the passenger side top strut mount) are on the way out. but appart from that its spot on :)

I\'ll collect it in a few days !!!

Thank you very much guys :)

I want to drift it. Altho its in really good condition and i feel guilty for wanting to drift it.

Its got 60k (miles) on the clock. But i swear it started mint. No smoke at all, idled perfectly, rev\'d fine, no air bubble from the reservoir cap. Started fine great from warm.

My initial plan is to put it in the garage and then refresh the engine. Either i\'ll do it, (if im feeling brave after buying the dvd) or i may get it done.

It won\'t get drifted until all the cooling is sorted as i know they can overheat :) Plus i have a bmw e36 thats a shed, which i use as a daily and for drifting so i\'ll keep using that for now :)

Im really excited !!

Funny thing is its got a \'racing key\' apparently, its shaped like a spoon ! haha
