I don\'t exactly know how to put this??
What i want to know is How much does a Silenced Mid pipe effect the Volume/Noise and power of an FD?
For example.. If you have a very well flowing 3" Exhaust on say a 350 hp Single turbo (it\'s seeing 120db\'s at wot). If i was to fit 6"x12" silencer to the Mid pipe (new well packed etc) would it make a big difference?
With the car being SO loud i don\'t know if it would be better to replace every thing from the Down pipe back? the aim is to get it withing Track day regs without loosing too much hp?? and TBh i don\'t know how much difference a Box makes?
I\'d be interested to see opinions on this. I\'ve just bought a new Silenced midpipe to wack on when i\'m attending a noise regulated drift event so its a bit late for me now, but still, be interesting to know.
I have a WGT midpipe sat here for not much cash. You could try before you buy if you want to but its only 2.5in dia bore.
I\'m running a full WGT big bore system with mid pipe silencer and backbox and its much quieter and should be track friendly !

2.5 is a bit small mate, at the moment it goes from a 3" down pipe to a Greddy cat (that\'s been adjusted ;)) then to a Apexi Hyabusa (thats about 3.5") i think that\'s why i\'m having issues.
Did you put your exhaust on before you went Single turbo? Just interested if there is a Noticeable drop in power when you quieten it up?
I have a 3" bore Tiger decat silencer on a TT\'d FD running 0.9 bar. It makes good power and doesn\'t seem to be limiting it at all.
With the RB twin cat back it read at just 90db at 4.5k!
It did quieten the setup down a little (was 105 before fitting it) but it did make a noticable difference in where boost came in and how much came in between the 2.5 with a silencer and 3in straight through !
The big bore wgt one is awesome and quiet !!

I have a genuinge RE-Amemiya silenced midpipe for sale. It\'s a 76mm and near new.
Excelent quality and welds.
You can see the piping goes into the silencer on one side and exits under an angle. it\'s a straight through but angled inside the silencer for more noise reduction.
Selling because I need a catalyst for emission checks and the silener is to large to add a cat.
