My advice would be to hook it up to an After market gauge (even if its just roughly rigged up)

The stock Gauge is a waste of space, My Fd\'s Gauge works when it wants too and can read low on day and high the next???

Its a common problem with oil pressure senders in the RX7.
Dont worry about it as RX7\'s dont suffer with oil pressure problems.
Replace the oil pressure sender or fit an after market one to rectify the problem.

What do you mean with "don\'t suffer with oil pressure problems" Sure it must have pressure?

My FD had oil pressure fluctuating close to zero idling when hot.
With a new sender it has 2 bar hot idling !!

Does anyone know if you can get after market sensors for the stock gauge?? I have always had issues with them, i have replaced 3 to date and they work well for a month or so then start playing up again?? I was starting to think it was a wiring fault rather then the sensor?

Yes they have oil pressure but its not a common problem to suffer low oil pressure in the engines but it is a common problem to suffer oil pressure sensor problems.

Its probably not the engine just the sender.
