As title!
The bit that, when you full the fuel filler handle, retracts, and lets the flap pop open!
Mine has been snapped off (along with the filler flap, which i now have replaced) flush with the body, so does bugger all, meaning the flap can flap about as and when it fancies.
I could add a bonnet pin style thing to replace it, but if I could replace it it would be better!
I would just glue a new bit on the end, but its flush with the rest, so would prob end up sticking itself to the car :Hammer
My one of these things keeps getting stuck in, perhaps someone could think of a better fuel flap lug thingy to hold the flap closed lol
What about the switch for the lights when you open the door. My egi has two and only the driver side one operates the lights. It looks very similar to the one of the petrol cap (minus the rubber cover). Sorry its dark so i could only guess, seems similar enough though.
I dont even know if mine has these? Hell, its not even got electric windows, never mind that kind of poshness, lol.
I think id be pretty lucky if its the same to be fair, especially however it mounts to the wire and pull handle.
Unfortunately this is something i cant fix with cable ties for once :3Confused
well its like the same size, moves in the same way, feels similar. Its worth taking the passenger one out and at least comparing it. Quite a chance it could be the same, mazda do design some weird things :P

the next best thing to cable ties...
duck tape :p
Came back tonight and my old man goes, literally, the first thing he said...
"I know how to hold your filler flap shut!"
I reckon he\'d been thinking about it all day, lol.
A small magnet! And it works too, perfectly, and there was loads lying round in drawers etc in the house so was no effort. Sticks to both surfaces, strong enough to hold it shut, weak enough to easily open by hand by pushing the other side, and didnt involve any cutting, drilling, glueing, cable ties, or money. Good times.
Nice one fella. Is your dad Grinder by any chance? (its the sort of solution he would come up with).
he asked if he could buy my car for HALF of the asking price, definitely trained by ginder!
Liam, its not duck tape, its heavy duty speed enhancing light weight binding agent :D
lolol wait wait wait...
your filler cap is held shut by a magnet?? best be a strong one.. a single scandi-flick when drifting or a tyre wall tap and it wont be there after you come back to pits lol.

Yes, its a strong one. Thanks for your expert opinion.
And the reason it had no flap in the first place is because of wall rubbing, thats not going to save you.
lol chilllll stav... put ure dummy back in.. made me chuckle is all.
sorry i even looked for it now, took me an hour:2Rolleyes i offerd to send one to you, hope your magnet works out

Seems like every post on here and DW where you mention my car you try to have a little dig, like you feel threatened or something, as you so keen to promote your car you think mine is stealing your thunder or something like that... Dunno, but the gay little digs are plentiful...
careful chaps - dont want this thread turning into a slanging match of any shape , form or fashion ;)
