Whilst my car is off the road im doing a few lil bits to it to make it stand out a little bit, this is the part where you guys come in, iv been looking on the net for a kit to make my speedo dials and all the others white but i cant seem to find any that dont look dodgy, any chance you could point me in the right direction for a white dial kit?

There\'s spirit r dials or mazdaspeed, best bet would be yahoo auctions.

when i meant dodgy i ment they didnt look similar enough to the standard design. the pic i have attached is exactly what im after but iv not been able to find them unfortunatly...any ideas?

Thats a 99+ cluster with an RE-Amemiya speedometer.
so would i have to buy a new cluster or would i be able to just get the dial faces?

funny enough.. on a side note: they had skewer in chinese written in the door and boot etc..

I had custom dials made for my rx7 and even had them with l.e.d backing. Mine are now silver with red and back lit with bright red l.e.d
My dad had some made as well his are black with veilside logo put into the design

If you wanted the 99 spec dials like in the picture you would have to buy the complete cluster, you couldnt just take the dial faces off.
It would be pretty much plug and play only that where you have an oil pressure guage they were replaced with a boost one. Not a major problem as you can run a couple of wires from ecu to the back of the dial to output the boost onto the gauge.
Yahoo auctions japan are probably your best bet for getting a set like this. Mind you it probably wont be cheap.

Also a possibility you can get them from fdnewbieimports.com, got them quoted as $750 shipped, but that will be main land usa and not to uk.

rare as Hens teeth those 99 spec clusters with 300k speedo, I got my REA white clusters from Japland,revs to 10K, 300kph speedo expensive!!!

Not really mate, just run two wires, a ground to the nearest point on the chasis that you can use, then splice a wire into the map sensor wire on the ecu and run it to the back of the dial. Hardest part is splicing the wire as not much room for manouver with the ecu loom and running it to the back of the dash.
Personally if you already have a boost gauge i wouldnt bother with the effort. But then again I probably would as im a fussy tart and like everything to work! :D
