Post by: thomas_mk6 on June 02, 2009, 12:34:27 AM
hey guys this is my forst post s an rx7 owner, not had the car long its a 1994 type r and it had mazdaspeed coilovers, but there is a very loud/annoying squeek coming from the rear when driving, it also makes the same sound if you press down on the rear of the car, im guessing its the rear shocks but maybe this is a common fault? anyone have any experience with mazdaspeed coilovers?

Just check it isnt the boot mechanism mate, mine made the most annoying squeek until I sorted it. Try pushing the car down with the boot open.

I had the rear boot squeek, to fix it i move the catch down a few mill and also put plastic washers under the rubber stops in the back.

ill try the boot adjustment but the reason i thought it was the suspension is because it does it when i push down on the rear of the car, but ill take the wheel off tomorrow and have a good look around
