Title: Apexi Power commander compatiblilty
Post by: leeroy_25 on May 25, 2009, 08:21:18 PM
I have a 1993 FD3 and an apexi ecu but need a new commander for it. Can anyone let me know how I can make sure a commander will be compatible with my unit or does one commander fit all?? I am sure I have read otherwise?

Thank you
Lee

Nope mate, you need to get the specific one. Theres a guide on here somewhere if u search for it IIRC. There are 4 commanders for 6 versions of PFC: (3 x 8bit, and 3 x 16bit).

I just e-mailed Nengun who told me what I needed from the serial number on the PFC. I\'ve tried about 3 prior to this which didn\'t work :(

That could be a bugger!

Will a commander from another car work.. ie so I can look on other forums for one once I know the part number I need.. Only problem is I do not recall there being a serial number on my Apexi case? Do I need to dismantle it to find one?

Cheers

Nah, if you remove the kick panel in the passenger footwell it should be on the side of the PFC casing nearest you... Assuming ures is fitted the same way round as mine! :D
