Post by: FD3S Efini on May 25, 2009, 10:46:25 AM
im taking off my rear lights and spraying them like on this thread http://www.mazdarotaryclub.com/forums/showthread.php?t=56738

i know how to get the lights off and how to get the lense to seperate and i have the image that im going t use for the stencil but i have a couple of stupid questions, how would i stick a stencil to the lense and what would it be (as in would it just be normal paper?) and second is how would i reseal the lense once is it finished?

Cheers

Well I just got some vinal from a model shop and used that, worked very well! And I used the origanal glue and some extra sealant to re seal them. Then sealed all around the unit again to make sure it was water tight.

I used wide white masking tape, covered the lense in it, then cut out the template in paper, put small piece of blue tack to the stencil to stop it moving and then drew round the stencil with a felt tip pen. Then it\'s was just a case of cutting the correct shape out with a craft knife, peeling away the unwanted masking take and spraying it.
