Cheers Guys
if at the shoulder bit its more than 22 inches from side to side then no it wont
They\'re biiig seats IIRC - I managed to shoehorn some into my other half\'s MX5 and it was VERY tight.
Ive seen that "shape" recaro in fd\'s before though (mine had one when it came over).
But yea, ask the seller to measure across the tops of the shoulder.....its that part that will give you grief.
It\'s not just the shoulders - the squab can be an utter PITA too - it\'s tight against the tunnel in an FD - You can end up with the seat pushed over and sitting half in the door with your legs and arms at a funky angle :(
In one word....Yes
I had them in my first FD. Yes its tight but they do fit. They dont hit tunnel but just slightly rub on door cards
Cheers guys for all the info. I think I will be looking for a set of these as they are the closest to the spirit r at the moment
Eh? You know that Spirit R seats are 1 piece Carbon Kevlar buckets, and those are padded recliners, right?!
i had similar recliners to try and fit and the seat back adjuster hit on the tunnel and were to wide i have some cobra buckets in mine now i can measure the seats to give you an idea of what fits if that helps
I fitted a set of Corbeau Sprints into an Rx recently...they are a very good seat!
How tall are you?
Looking at the corbeau sprints dimensions :

Been considering the OMP RS, seems to be wider at the bottom and narrower at the shoulders. Anybody tried these, where really comfy in demon tweeks.
Shaun
Take a look at Sparco Evo\'s - lovely seats, and should pop straight into an FD :)

About 5\'10"
They would be my recommendation then....great seat, and easy to fit!
They have a central hole for a crotch strap, and although the link to Corbeau\'s site says they are a Kevlar/GRP seat, they can be made in Kevlar/Carbon if you prefer :)
We have a very good side mount if you are interested?
Nice seats but I will be looking for something that reclines like the Corbeau Carrera.
Ugh! Don\'t get a Carrera! Horrible, horrible seats!
The Sprints are very comfortable for a fixed back seat, i have them in my car.
and are very reasonable in price too.
Sorry to bring this back up but, can anyone who has the corbeau sprint seat tell me how good the fit is, ie does it rub on the door card or is the seat placement offset from the steering wheel :cheers
The corbeau seat i installed is pushed slightly closer to the trans tunnel and leaves a small mark in the door card.
Running Sparco Sprint V in the FD. Good fit to the tunnel and doors. Only big issue I had was it was way too high with the stock seatbelt pickup. Once running with full harness and lowered they are very nice.
Shaun
Bazza,
The Sprint seats fit perfectly. If you run with our seat mounts this will lower the seats to a much more comfortable fit.
If you are interested in running harnesses, we are in the process of manufacturing a harness bar which will also double up as a strut brace. It will be a bolt in bar and will be fully triangulated!
If you need a competitive quote on seats and harnesses then give us a ring :)
Interested in the harness bar, when you thinking this will be available?

I\'m also very interested in a bolt in triangulated rear strut brace.
