Title: Swirl mark removeall
Post by: rx7ben on May 16, 2009, 08:36:05 AM
Anybody got any good advise to get rid of this and give my car a really gloss finish. Am i right in thinking you need a compound on first then some form of finishing glaze/wax. Really hate these swirl marks and my car being red it really shows when the sun is on it :3Confused

Machine polish is the way to go guv.  Im not too up on it yet, but im getting a 1 to 1 training session done in a couple of weeks when I pick up the new car.   A local detailers does it.

For them to machine polish the car its about £95.  You can then put your own wax etc on.  A full detail with the machine polishing would be about £300+.

be careful, the guy that done my car was constantly checking the depth of the paint when he was de-swirling mine.  Keep it well lubed too to prevent burns

Give it some love, do it by hand and use a clay bar. Will take a whole day but te results will be worth it.

Yes clay bar is good, a lot of love and attention needed but its safer especially if you\'ve never machine polished a car before.
