hi all, does the pfc use the air temp as mine all ways reads 129 even when engine is cold
Yup, it\'s pretty important!
Sounds like your sensor is fudged. Check the connections on it first (it\'s under the UIM unless it\'s been relocated)
As said, it is used by the PFC. If it\'s reading that high, it\'s likely (But not guarenteed) that the ECU will retard the ignition for high inlet temps for safety. So you may well be losing power by having a fubar\'d air temp sensor.
I have a spare standard one lying around somewhere. May be able to lay my hands on it if you want?
I\'ve just fitted the fast reacting one from Triumph and it is sooooo responsive. Sits somewhere around 30 while cruising but rises to 50 when booting it :)

Cor! What intercooler are you using!!? That\'s quite high. Is it stock?
(I am also using the fast reacting triumph sensor, but am running a V-mount)
thanks for the replys guys, and nikp if you have got a spare one how many pennys would you want for it
I\'ll check i can find it first! I think i know where it is. A fiver should cover postage and packing.
