Title: Power fc install - do UK cars need wires cut like US?
Post by: Aubec on May 05, 2009, 08:39:13 PM
Hi guys,

I know US FD\'s need some wires cut when installing a Power FC - does anyone know if UK cars need the same wires cut - think they relate to the exhaust gas recirculation solenoid etc. So am assuming yes - can anyone confirm?

Thanks!

Cheers mate, Blitzboy on FDUK agrees so I\'ll just go ahead and install with crossed fingers!

All done - blimey that was easy!  First job on my FD that didn\'t involve a sheared bolt or drilling out a knackered screw!  Downpipe is next, suspect that wont be quite so easy...

For the benefit of anyone else that searches the forum in future, I can categorically confirm no changes need to be made to the wiring loom in UK cars to install the PowerFC so you can ignore that part of the PowerFC FAQ it only applies to US cars even though we also have pre-cats.

Thanks for the response Steve.

Years ago i did suggest to Dale that he include a statement about omitting that step for UK cars.
