Post by: dthebuk on May 02, 2009, 12:22:21 PM

Charge the battery first with a mains charger.
Then, on the FB I can access the air intake easily. So I have a can of \'aerostart\' standing by. Fires instantly on that Having said that I wouldn\'t like to use it often, but if the FB had been standing a month in winter I certainly would give it a spray. I don\'t know if you can get to the intake easily (ie engine side of filter) on FC and FD.

just check the fluids mate before start-up, and as said....make sure the battery is fully charged.

If your driving it, maybe check your tyre pressures too.

Turn the keys to Ignition position first, and wait about 5-6 seconds before cranking - as that will prime the fuel rails and give you a good chance of it firing first off.

You may also want to just pull the plugs out and give them a little clean up before starting it.
