Title: Any thoughts?

What diesel Engines (if any) will fit up with the RX7 gen 3 gearbox??

Has anything like this been done before??

Please don’t ask why I’m asking this and I’d have lots of stick I’m sure :-(

no, the gear ratios and final drive have all been matched to a high reving engine.
Fitting a diesel that makes peak power at 4k will give you a very very slow car.
Plus a diesel engine is heavy heavy, you probably have to change the front suspension, also most diesel engines are quite tall so doubt it would fit unless you do major changes to the subframe.

So its cheaper just to get another cheap diesel runaround

Dam the wise knowledge!! :\'( - Way can\'t there be a 200bhp diesel Rx7 doing 50 mpg and my name in the Logbook :-(

My misses nearly had a heart attack when she borrowed my last RX and seen how much fuel it drinks - I told her 25mpg and she found out the truth (more like 15) so i\'m not aloud another!!
