What oil do people recommend for the Kaaz diffs? Is there a particular one I need from Kaaz?
Also can the track guys recommend any good gearbox oil as I need to get some a.s.a.p.
Cheers
Hi,
I use Redline (red - thick) for the diff, and Redline (blue - thin) for the gearbox. Both stand up well to racing demands, and the gearbox oil in particular was studied by the builder who was uberimpressed at how it stuck to the cogs.

Hi,
Kaaz recommend their own oil, but I suppose they would.
I have used Silkolene BOA 90LS, which is mineral based. I think the important thing is to use mineral based oils rather than synthetic.
I have also used the Kaaz oil to see if it makes any difference to the banging and clunckes that I got from the diff., and to be honest it was no different from the Silkolene only about twice as expensive!

Cheers,
I was advised of using Silkolene by another FD owner. Just have to try and find who sells it in a local car shop now lol

Used these in my GTR and tbh i didnt like the stuff and got more bangs than before :Laugh:Laugh
Not too worried about bangs (although I\'d suspect it couldn\'t be measured) but I am worried about putting race loads through road components for long periods. Also worried about what the pros say of course in case of "warranty" arguments..
