Title: FB Steering Idler Arm
Post by: DaveCollins on April 25, 2009, 06:21:28 PM
Hi,

I have just discovered that the idler arm pin has somehow sheared on my car.  If anyone has a spare idler arm they do not want please could you get in touch.

I will be at Brooklands tomorrow.

Regards

Dave

Sorry looks like it may be a false alarm.  There was so much play in it that the only option was it had sheared.  I have now manged to disassemble and it may not need a new arm, just new bushings which should be easier to get.

2 new bushes required so I will take the oppertunity to do a full overhaul of suspension and get a bulk order of bushes etc. from the US.

New bushes and a selection of stabilizer bar links for front and back and some other misc spares to justify shipping cost arrived in under 48 hours from Rock Auto.  Great service.

Car should be back on the road v. shortly.

Thanks for those who gave advice.
