Title: Boost loss problem
Post by: leeroy_25 on April 22, 2009, 10:25:06 PM
I have a boost issue on my FD which is why I am wanting to go single finally! until then I need to try and get it running some sense. basically all is fine until you hit secondary turbo point then you loose all boost from both turbos and hear air passing through somewhere? from what I can tell it sounds like it\'s going through the Charge relief valve but when you take it off the car it appears to be fine? unless it\'s faulty?? I am not sure what\'s inside to go a little bit wrong?! Alternatively it could be something to do with the actuator for the second turbo? Anyway to try and narrow it down I was wondering could I take the CRV off and blank the pipe to see if that then gives me my boost back?
What are the dangers of doing that? I presume I could get over boost or maybe blow a pipe or something without it in there if I drive like a fool? As long as I am unlikely to damage the engine is my main concern! It won\'t stay like it for long!

Cheers
