Just got a price for a diff for my FD from this bloke did not know it was oscar. He wanted £185 inc delivery dont think i will bother now so im still on the hunt for a diff.

nuki, that carbon cover\'s been "sold" three times because I kept reporting it to eBay as stolen. He "bought" it from me by sending PayPal payment and then blocking the transfer after I\'d posted it, then told me a pack of lies and never re-sent the money.
I kept reporting it to eBay in the vain hope they\'d actually offer some of their much-vaunted protection against rip-offs, but they never did, the useless c***s.

btw, anyone thinking of bidding on that plenum cover, I\'d cancel your bid if I were you. It\'s not FEED, it was made by some guy at home when he was doing a compostites course at college, and it was starting to have the resin separate from the weave through heat damage. I said all this when I listed it for sale, and took photos of the damage, but unless it\'s miraculously healed itself, Oscar seems to have neglected to mention this.......
The thing that really peeed me off was that I even took the time to line it with aluminised anti-heat tape for the little **** before I posted it :Hammer because I felt guilty about selling less than perfect stuff to a fellow MRC member! Hahahaha, if only I knew then.......
i cant understand why hes getting away with this? i know for a fact i could get his address.. hes even offered me to go look at his unit and home where some of the cars are before i knew he was oscar from the forum as i was intrested in buying parts from a pistonheads add etc... ive even got his mobile number.. why didnt you just ring him up under an unknown alias saying you want to come look at a rebulilt engine or somthing worth alot of money to intrest him then re-claim wht he stole from you? hes about 22 year old and hes getting away with stealing .... im confused because if he stole from me like he did you and others my family members and handy lads would deffiantly want to meet him regardless of how much he stole just for the fact he stole from me.. just for the day out they would be satisfied to call at the coast on the way back :D
well, in my case it\'s because he ripped me off to the tune of about fifty quid, which is about what it\'d cost me to go down to Wimbourne and back in petrol, so it hardly seemed worth the effort to throw good money after bad. I just learnt from the experience and moved on.
That\'s not to say I didn\'t try everything I could (and still do) to inconvenience him. I\'ve taken out several disputes with both eBay and PayPal about it, (and probably spent the same amount of money on their exorbitant rate phone lines lol) and all I learnt from that is that both of their "protection" schemes are an absolute waste of time. Basically, as long as Oscar keeps paying the listing fees, they don\'t care who he rips off. Apparently it was my fault for posting to an unconfirmed address, even though PayPal had sent me an official communique stating the funds from him were in my account. The onus would be on me to have taken the matter to a small claims court, which would have cost me a considerable amount of time and inconvenience, as well as money, so again the system works for him, not the wronged party. However, as I say, I\'ve learnt plenty from the situation at least.
There\'s also the issue of the fact that I understand he lives with his parents still, so if I were to rock up to his door and demand my property back....and he simply says "no, go away off our property", what do I do then? Smash my way in and do them all over? Wait for the police and argue my word against his over something that happened over a year ago? The Plod\'d love that, wouldn\'t they? I\'d get a very sympathetic ear off them, I\'m sure. Whatever happens, he\'d have witnesses, and I wouldn\'t....and I\'m not that stupid.
I have a long memory, with that said, and are there are no limits to the length I\'ll carry a grudge, so if I should ever meet the erstwhile Mr Andrews Junior, the story may well be different. I\'m just not going to lose any sleep over it in the meanwhile
