HI, IM NEW TO THIS ,
got hold of a rx7, what a car!,
but im not sure if i have a mojor problem ?
when im driving the car its fine but when i back off alittle on the revs, there is a slight miss fire(or sounds like a miss, not 100% sure its a miss fire),
is it a prob?
has anyone had this?
or do i need to get my hand dirty?

Welcome to the wonderfule world of RX7 ownership!!!
Does the car have a) fuel cut defencer and b) straigh-thru exhaust? If so it may be unburnt fuel in the exhaust igniting. Just a though, I\'m not that technical and it isn\'t something mine does as I haven\'t got an FCD yet.

its got a straight through stainless exhaust, not sure about any thing else, its more like a pop than a miss,as you can not feel it

check to see if there is an FCD. it\'s also worth checking to see if the exhaust flames when you come off the throttle, another sign that the Fuel Cut Defencer is working.

i may yet be corrected but as i understand it FCD is & will be a bolt on or rather wired into yer ECU, least it was on me FD, but i am not a fan as it\'s IMO a solution to symptom & not problem of issues like overboosting 
As i say just my limited understanding.......&er dunno where ECU is on T2

not sure where it is either!,
the poping is more like a miss fire! but only when i back off or drive very slow (or steady )
but if i press the loud pedal and back off its ok again for abit, and again and again
any thoughts:confused:

does sound just like a little pop from fuel getting burnt in zaust so not necessarily a full banging 2 foot flame out of the end but still a fruity pop 
Sub section 24b (http://www.stopstart.freeserve.co.uk/smilie/deal.gif) In my totally ignorant & none expert dont take my word for it if in any doubt or worried get sum1 who knows what they\'re talking about but dont sound too much to worry about unless you dont like the popping, although as i say not a fan of FCD myself so may wana check what the full story is i guess....

a FCD is under the bonnet on the FC, on the right hand side about 1/2 way down. its a cube shaped thingy but 2 inches in size, with 2 or 3 wires coming out of it and plugging into another thingy. when i saw one it wasnt strapped in just lying loose so its fairly obvious to spot.
as you can tell i\'ve only seen one once so the description is v.poor:D sorry
