Engine Spes:

13b with P-ports.
2 piece e shaft.
6x1680cc injectors.
GT4202 Turbo.

Chassie:

Nitron Racing shocks 3 ways.
285/30-18 tires in front.
315/30-18 tires in rear.
AtomicRex suspension arms in rear and front.

360mm 6 pot Hispec in front.
320mm 4 pot Hispec in rear.

I really don`t know what the best box would be, but seen that Elite transmissions have really cheap boxes.

Would love to have a seq box though.

What\'s the power? That\'ll decide how much you need to spend..

Horsepower\'s nothing compaired to the troque and that\'s the top priotity for the gearbox to handle.
if the engine\'s N/A PP motor( approx 300hp/ 200lb/ft of troque),easily get a type9 ford box with c/r gearset from Quaife under £1500 and going turbo\'s another matter(same power and more troque) will break it!!!!( same gearbox)
correct me if I\'m wrong.

You missed out on a seq HKS box that was going for £6K a few months ago he sold it quickly as well, that would have handled the power

A type 9, even a dog box, has as much chance of handling 300bhp without very frequent rebuilds (very frequent) as I have of being a jump jockey mate.

FYI I asked for the power figure because that\'s how most of the competition boxes are publicly rated. Do understand about torque..

Cheers

Ouch..

Worth a call direct to Hewland, Xtrac, Hollinger, Quaife and then to compare notes? That sort of application they\'d be happy to help I\'m sure. You don\'t want to be sailing uncharted waters I\'d contend, unless you want a hole in your wallet.

For a sequential box to handle that amount of power stable, and reliable you need to spend in excess of 10 000 £. I know that the selholm sequential box that they sell for about 7500£ can handle about 600nm of tourqe. Ty contacting selholm in sweden. They can make a sequential box for the FD with a bellhousing i belive. As they have made it before i belive.

I suspect your choice is probably wider than that in reality, but let us know how you go.

Probably, but I`ve heard that I should stay away from some boxes..

And the holinger box are rated at 880Nm, and that would fit my engine spot on I think..

There\'s always someone to be found that\'s had a problem with every box, but the Hollinger is well regarded in Australia in racing circles too so I wouldn\'t dispute that.

Who prepped your car BTW, and what\'s the damage?

scroll to the bottom and 6 speed sequential 1500hp fd3s box in developement. sounds good

also if you wanted to get sequential cheaply you could by an uprated gearset for a few grand and then use a h pattern to sequential converter lever. no tsure if they are any good though
