I\'ve been searching for wheels and tyres for my new gen1 for weeks.
I\'ve found some on ebay that are THIS close.
I found 6.5x15s 114pcd 46mm offset.
I know they should be 7x15 with 38mm offset. This puts them 8mm further in towards the inner wings/struts, but they are half an inch narrower.
Was gonna have 205/50s on rear and 195/50s on the front (to lighten up the steering)
Can it be done, or am I deluding myself?
These will be mailed up to the chap building the car so I have to be sure......I think I know the answer already.
Spacers!
they might fit without spacers, you really do need to try them on a car to be sure though. Spacers are OK but you will need to source longer studs to go with them.
They will probably fit on the rear with no problems at all.
Aww do I have to? Why cant things just fit other things without all this darned fiddling?
I\'m going to the garden to eat worms.
i have tsw venoms on mine mark1 series3 with 215/45/16 on i have spacers on the front with longer studs and have rolled the arches back just incase, but it is possible to fit 215/35/18 the rolling radis is nearly bang on.:cool
