gathered my funds together to order a 2 piece guru e shaft from rotorsports and placed an order for two weeks time, and they said they cannot offer it for sale at the moment or the forseeable future. they wont go into details as to why, but does anyone know where i can get another one from for similar money?
had a search around and apparently a bloke from new zealand called jeff bruce does them, does anyone have a contact for him? i cant find one.
greenbrothers have got back to me now, all sorted now thanks. should have it in 8 weeks :D
so what are the plans then bud??
im using the 2 piece e shaft, with a decent sized bridge port, mazdatrix oversized stud kit and 3mm pts seals. then i plan to use hardened stationary gears from mazdatrixs, and a few other bits and bobs such as custom inlet manifold ( still researching on that ), i may use and oil pan brace aswell.
as for the rest of the spec of the car, im still unsure and will need to look into it a bit more. im definately set on using a very large turbo for the strip and smaller one for the track.
ive had loads of ideas throughout the build but ive had a few set backs such as the daughter coming along ( which was a good set back :D ) and the likes, and with her leaving nursery for school soon i ve been able to invest some money in it now.
cool, sounds like you have a good plan. keep us updated with the progress.
wow 2 piece shaft you must be planning mega rpm,are you tubbing the car?
cheers karl i will do. i\'ll get some pics up of the build when every thing arrives and i finally start to assemble it.
yeah i want over 10k rpm, but im not happy about the size of my port as i think its a small for what i want so i think i\'ll be sending it back to carl in the next few months to get it made bigger. ive been advised my best port of call for what i want is actually ceramic apex seals so it looks like i will go down that route now.
no im not tubbing it, although i do have lots of chassis mods planned i\'m not going that far in the chassis side of things.
is it a long term project then or have you got some sort of dead line?? will have to have a ride over for a nosey when things start to come together.
you got any pics of the ports??
yeah sure, your just down the road anyway.
nah its a long term project, no deadline what so ever. ive had the car for 5 years now so theres no rush. just adding to the build when money allows.
my computer wont show pictures for some reason but so ive had to go off the picture title, this should be a picture off the bridge ports i have at the moment

and my exhaust ports which i did roughly until i get my race port templates to arrive from mazdatrix

Got any bigger pictures of those \'ports\'?
+1, who cut those bridges?
i can see a few issues there
also i cant see if making them "bigger" will help you for what you want to do with it
Looking good! i\'ll have to have a nose next time im up in the boro.
Hallo
To be fair, those ports look pretty crude, and without a closer look i would be conservative and suggest that those are stock kidneys(possibly slightley cleaned). For you to make good power at RPM, you will need someone who has intimate knowledge on building high revving engines.
J
bridge porting was done by carl hayward, so shouldnt be any issues
+3 bigger pics of the plates please

We can certainly do the work you require now that your plans have changed for this.:mmmm
Regards
Carl
thanks carl. i was actually going to email you later today to get some quotes :driving
Carl when is one of your high powered cars coming to the drag strip? I need some competition lol :D
2 pieice e shaft is naice..:Giggle
Why don`t u just buy a center plate at Green Brothers, and let them do the machine work on it..:yes
nah then id have to have it ported from scratch again, its easier just get mr hayward to do it again. plus it would put my postage and tax up when it arrives.
