Title: anyone tried to make r-magic headlights?

yo!

gonna be sackin off my pop ups and gonna try and make some r-magic headlights, just wondering if anyone has tried this themselves and can give me some pointers?

somethin like this is what am aimin for

so much for tryin something new!!! haha, loadsa time on me hands now the engine is out so already drawing some ideas on how to make it work:mmmm

Laeeqs already made 3 sets or maybe more... Mark has a set as does Matt as does his old yellow car

right am jus gonna go for it:p

anyone know of anyone/anywhere that would sell the bases that ya get with various non  pop up lights? if at all possible?

I made my set by using the base from the ebay bug eye things, you can pick them up on the cheap if you keep your eyes out.
Bought two lexan covers again on the cheap from members, think I even got a spare just in case.
they are currently of the car so could take some more pics mate if you want, honest its not a hard job to make a set in any design just a little time consuming.
in total probably only paid 100 for everything

I wanted a sleek light effect and made these, didnt take long I got some pics on this thread. http://www.mazdarotaryclub.com/forums/showthread.php?t=45366&highlight=eddie

ended up sikaflexing the cover on (the stuff they use for window bonding)

Lamps are another issue, really if you got the cash you should use hella 50mm lamps totally road legal, I went for a different setup to keep cost to a minimal.

cheers matey, remember seein ya lights on that thread, look spot on, still on the hunt for some bases tho, not really in a rush coz av got so much other stuff to do but it would be nice to have em if i get a spare day
